Google Shopping is familiar and heavily used, but many shoppers still struggle with decision fatigue, overwhelming choice, and unclear product differentiation. Traditional filters and comparison tools do not fully address the emotional and cognitive effort behind complex shopping tasks. The challenge was to imagine how AI could elevate an experience that already exists at scale. We needed concepts that were grounded in real user needs but also visionary enough to spark new product thinking inside Google.
solution
I led the product strategy, creative direction, and conceptual UI for two complementary ideas. The first concept explored AI as an intelligent layer inside the existing Google Shopping flow. This approach improved clarity, reduced cognitive load, and introduced micro moments of guidance, education, and personalization that could be applied without reinventing the entire product. The second concept treated AI as the destination itself. We imagined a dedicated experience where shoppers could ask questions, describe preferences, refine criteria, and make decisions through natural conversation. This allowed Gemini to become a true shopping partner rather than a passive tool. Both concepts demonstrated how AI could resolve pain points through relevance, personalization, and conversational understanding. They also introduced moments of delight that made the overall experience feel lighter and more confidence building.
This exploration began with a simple question. How could AI make shopping easier, more personal, and more human. Google has unmatched reach and data across product categories, but the shopping journey still requires users to sift, compare, and interpret large amounts of information.

Driven by their vision, the founders assembled a team of nutritionists, culinary experts, and tech enthusiasts to develop Snackify. The team delved into extensive research, analyzing various dietary preferences, nutritional needs, and snack options available in the market. Armed with this knowledge, they built a sophisticated algorithm that would curate personalized snack boxes, taking into account individuals' dietary restrictions, preferences, and health goals.
Since its launch, Snackify has witnessed a significant impact on individuals seeking healthier snacking options. Customers have embraced the convenience and personalization offered by Snackify, allowing them to discover a diverse range of nutritious snacks perfectly suited to their needs.
